BENGALON COAL PROJECT

Location: East Kalimantan

Client : PT Kaltim Prima Coal

Contract value for this Bengalon project amounted to USD 2.65 billion and was one of the highest contract value obtained by the Company so far. As of the end of 2016, Bengalon Project has coal reserves of 60 million tons and overburden of 452 million bcm.

Bengalon Project Performance

Bengalon project performance in 2016 was relatively good with increased coal production of 4.78% compared to the previous year to 8.24 million tons, whilst overburden volume decreased by 5.05% to 55.08 million bcm.

 

ASAM ASAM COAL PROJECT

Location: South Kalimantan

Client: PT Arutmin Indonesia

Contract value for Asam Asam project reached USD 2.1 billion, the second highest amount out of three mining contracts obtained by the Company. As of the end of 2016, Asam Asam project has coal reserves of 21 million tons of coal and overburden removal of 88 million bcm.

Asam Asam Project Performance

The  Company’s  performance  in  Asam  Asam  Project demonstrated  a  continuous  increase.  In  2015, overburden  removal  volume  significantly  rose  by 92.98% from 2014, followed by an increase of 41.56% or grew by 41.2% or 6.4 million bcm to 21.68 million bcm in 2016.

 

SATUI MULIA COAL PROJECT

Location: South Kalimantan

Client: PT Arutmin Indonesia

Contract value for Satui project amounted to USD 1.7 billion, the third highest contract value out of the three mining deals obtained by the Company. As of the end of  2016,  Satui  Project  has  coal  reserves  of  63  million tons of coal and overburden of 88 million bcm. Satui coal mining project started to operate in February 2016,  immediately  after  the  contract  signing  in  the same month. From the first day of its operations up until now, the Company continues to increase its production to meet the client’s demand.

Satui  project produced overburden removal of 7.61 million bcm and coal production of 1.52 million tons.
