Bengalon is a Greenfield mine located 30 km from KPC’s existing Sangatta operations. The initial stage of production at this turnkey project is based on removal of 45 Mbcm of waste per year and the delivery of 6 Mt of coal per year to the clients new coal processing and barge load out facility at Lubuk. Tutung Port, 22 km from mine. KPC has awarded PT Darma Henwa a 3 Mtpa expansion to the initial contract. To achieve the total 9 Mtpa production output PT Darma Henwa has invested in excess of $180 M in mining equipment.
